2. Registering a matrimonial ad on behalf of a relative or a friend
For this you need to specify your relationship with the person on whose behalf you're registering a matrimonial ad in the registration form.

6. About the number of e-mail addresses allowed while registering with Chennaishaadi.com
You must not provide more than one e-mail address while registering with Chennaishaadi.com . You must specify only one e-mail address while registering. You can however change your e-mail address at a later date.

7. Adding your Religion/Caste/Occupation etc. in the registration form of Chennaishaadi.com in case of omission
Chennaishaadi.com has tried to be as comprehensive and practical as possible while creating the lists being used in the registration form. However, it is possible that your particular religion, caste, mother tongue, education, occupation etc may not be represented here.

In such a case we request you to send an email to support clearly listing the new addition you would like us to make to our matrimonial service. While we do not guarantee that your suggestion will be accepted, we will try our best to ensure that it does.

8. About Profile ID: How is it important ?
A Profile ID uniquely identifies your profile on Chennaishaadi.com i.e., every member of Chennaishaadi.com has a unique Profile ID. The Profile ID appears at the top of every profile. If your Profile ID were XYZ then it would appear as 'XYZ's Profile.

9. About any specific rules and/or precautions while specifying a Profile ID during registration
There are not any specific rules, but you should choose a Profile ID that suits your profile and personality. Your Profile ID can contain only alphabets, only numbers, numbers and alphabets (alphanumeric) and the underscore ( _ ) character between them. The length of the Profile ID should be between 4 and 15 letters.

Your Profile ID should not contain contact information like e-mail address, telephone numbers, website addresses, fax numbers, etc. This is against the Terms of Use/Service Agreement for Chennaishaadi.com. Also, such private information may be used for unscrupulous purposes.

10. About any specific rules and /or precautions while creating a Matrimonial Profile on Chennaishaadi.com
You should not use your matrimonial profile to display your contact details. Do not make commercial use of it and do not include content that is vulgar, pornographic or racist. See our Terms of Use/Service Agreement for more details of what type of content is prohibited on Chennaishaadi.com.

You should be as detailed as possible while creating your profile. After your profile is activated, be sure to fill in the Partner Profile and also to upload your photograph. The more information you add to your profile, the more your chances of finding a preferred partner.

11. Error message concerning Profile ID during the registration process
The error message may be because the Profile ID you chose has already been registered by another member of Chennaishaadi.com. You must choose a Profile ID that has not yet been registered by any other members. It is also possible that the Profile ID you chose is in violation of our Service Agreement.

12. Error message regarding the e-mail address during registration
Every profile posted on Chennaishaadi.com is associated with only one unique e-mail address. You may have received this error message because you or someone else has already posted a matrimonial profile using this e-mail address. If you think that your e-mail address is being used by someone else, please send us an e-mail from the e-mail address that is under contention and let us know.

13. About the Partner Profile
Partner profile describes your preferences for a matrimony partner. Other members can view your partner profile and if they think that their profile matches your preferences, they can contact you. Also, Chennaishaadi.com's profile matching service matches your partner profile with other members' personal profiles and gives you a list of those matching profiles.

To create your partner profile, follow the following easy steps:

" Specify what qualities you are looking for in a partner by filling out the form. Click the 'Submit Partner Profile' button at the end of the form.

Your partner profile will now be displayed along with your personal profile to all Chennaishaadi.com members. You can edit you partner profile any time you want by following a similar procedure as above.

You can also create/edit your Partner Profile using our Advanced Search feature after logging in. At the end of the various criteria, tick on the checkbox for Save as Partner Profile. The criteria chosen by you will be automatically saved as your Partner Profile.
